We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Relations Specialist to join our Corporate Communications team on a 13-month fixed-term parental leave cover.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and executing internal communications projects and plans, leading University-wide communications for key initiatives and establishing relationships with stakeholders across the University.
About the Role
We are looking for a talented professional with experience in communication roles, who can effectively communicate AUT's story to internal and external audiences through various channels.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute internal communications projects and plans to keep staff engaged, informed, and inspired.
- Lead University-wide communications for key initiatives.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders across the University.
- Advance the use of multimedia communications channels to enhance AUT's reputation.
- Provide advice and support to staff producing internal communications.
Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in Communications or a related field.
- A minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience with developing and delivering internal and external communications.
- Knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand media scene.
- Experience with relationship management and networking.
