The Role:

  • We are seeking a skilled Direct Procurement Specialist to join our dedicated team, supporting the business in effective procurement practices through driving appropriate processes and outputs.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Spearhead the development of procurement strategies in assigned portfolio categories, ensuring alignment with global sustainable procurement initiatives.
  2. Implement best procurement practices in conjunction with our procurement policy, fostering a culture of transparency and visibility.
  3. Collaborate with key stakeholders and internal customers on facilitating procurement requirements, delivering end-to-end sourcing activities.
  4. Negotiate contracts and manage suppliers, ensuring seamless integration with our operations.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Will possess previous experience in a procurement role, backed by a relevant commercial or supply chain-related degree/qualification.
  • Will have a solid understanding of procurement category management and principles, ideally with a strong background in procurement processes.
  • May hold a CIPS qualification or be willing to achieve this.
  • Will have a proven track record in a food or dairy manufacturing environment, with excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Will demonstrate exceptional communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
  • Will share our commitment to sustainable procurement and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
