About the Role:
ENGEO Limited is seeking a highly motivated and physically fit Field Representative Cadet to join our Auckland office.
We are an award-winning, employee-owned firm of over 120 people in NZ offering geotechnical, geological, environmental and hydrologic consulting services. Our working environment is highly productive, efficient and friendly, making it an ideal place for someone who wants to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of geotechnology.
The successful candidate will be involved in various tasks such as geotechnical hand-held field investigations, which may involve heavy lifting and manual handling of equipment like Nuclear Density Meters, Window Sampling, Hand Auger boreholes, Scala Penetrometer and Shear Vane tests. On-site training and guidance will be provided for all aspects of the work, including logging of soil and rock samples, uploading information onto our computer network, field work planning, management of subcontractors, collecting visual data pertaining to land damage, and other related tasks.
To be considered for this role, you should have no prior experience, but a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. A Full driver's license is also required, as well as a flexibility to travel to other parts of New Zealand for short-term work assignments. We value candidates with excellent time management skills, good numeracy and literacy skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors and project managers.
