About the Role:
As a Strategic Health Research Portfolio Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving high-impact health research investments and contributing to the well-being of New Zealanders. You will lead the development and implementation of strategies for allocating health research funding, ensuring that the right research opportunities are funded to meet strategic health objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement research investment strategies and annual plans.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the health research and innovation sectors.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure that investment opportunities align with sector needs.
Oversee funding recommendations and guide the investment process to ensure alignment with the organisation's mission.

About You:
You will be a proactive and strategic thinker with experience in managing research portfolios and investments. You will bring strong relationship management skills and be able to collaborate across sectors to drive health research initiatives. Ideally, you'll also have experience in government or health-related environments.

What We're Looking For:
5+ years of experience in a health-related field, including research or research management.
Proven experience in project or portfolio management.
Knowledge of the public health and/or health service delivery sectors.
Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders in the health research, innovation, and government sectors.
Postgraduate qualifications in health or a related field are preferred.

Salary Range:
$80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
