About the Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to support people in developing life skills and building meaningful lives. You will be working closely with one co-facilitator, each leading one of two activity sessions per day, and will have access to a senior staff member for support.

Key Responsibilities
- Co-designing a term-by-term programme with our young people, that builds capacity and supports them in achieving their goals.
- Facilitating the programme in a way that is inclusive and accessible to all abilities.
- Communicating and building rapport with our members and their whanau.
- Organising equipment needed for activities, and two outings per term.
- Supporting members in contributing to maintaining the tidiness of our space.

About You
You demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. You enjoy working in a small team and have a desire to maintain an inclusive, non-discriminatory and multi-cultural environment. Key qualities include:

  • Able to lead activities that are fun and engaging, while prioritising safety of members.
  • Demonstrates a willingness to help people learn life skills and achieve their goals.
  • Enjoys getting involved in all activities and has fun.

Qualifications & Experience
We prefer candidates with current First Aid and Drivers Licenses. Work experience in youth, disability, or teaching would be beneficial. Experience working with diverse groups of people and interest in music or visual arts would also be advantageous.
