About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Intensive Care Recovery Specialist to join our team in the Post-Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a safe and efficient recovery process for post-operative patients.
Job Description
- Monitor patient vital signs, levels of consciousness, and overall recovery progress
- Administer medications and provide wound care as required
- Communicate effectively with the treatment team to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Skills and Experience
- Current Registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council
- A minimum of 2 years PACU experience in New Zealand
- Exceptional patient assessment skills, with a focus on paediatric patients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding and implementation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
