About Our Team
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Intelligence Analyst to join our National Security Intelligence workstream. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing strategic advice and intelligence support to senior leaders and stakeholders. They will be able to analyze complex data sets, identify and mitigate risks and opportunities, and develop robust knowledge and information sharing systems and processes. The Principal Intelligence Analyst will work closely with our team and wider MICR functions, key MBIE and external customers, and external/international intelligence agencies to build relationships and long-term customer engagement.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain expertise in intelligence analysis, methodology, and tools
- Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and stakeholders on national security and regulatory issues
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify and mitigate risks and opportunities
- Analyze complex data sets to inform intelligence products and services
- Mentor and coach junior analysts to develop their skills and knowledge

Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an Intelligence Analyst at a senior level within a government agency
- Established relationships across the NZIC
- Experience setting up systems and processes for intelligence
- Ability to handle sensitive or classified information
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving approach, and robust judgement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
