Job Description

This fulltime, permanent position is available at Dunedin Public Hospital Eye Department. We require an experienced General Ophthalmologist to become part of our team.

The successful candidate will be involved in routine ophthalmology clinics, theatre, and outreach clinics. They will also participate in teaching junior members of staff as an honorary lecturer to Medical Students.

The role involves working closely with the University of Otago and the Otago Medical School. We welcome applications from forward thinking, innovative ophthalmologists who are comfortable with challenges and can work well in a busy department.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Eligibility for vocational registration with the New Zealand Medical Council
  • FRANZCO or equivalent board certification (American board of Ophthalmology, FRCSC, FRCOphth)
