About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of business cases, project development and policy development in support of Council's strategic goals and objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop projects and policies that align with Council's strategic goals and objectives.
  • Provide senior engineering input and critical thinking to ensure a safe and accessible transport system.
  • Undertake economic assessment of transport investment decisions.
  • Take a whole of network system design led approach to plan across modes, functions, place and time.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Civil or NZ Diploma in Engineering Civil
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in civil engineering works, preferably in transport planning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • High attention to detail, excellent time management, and a solution-focused approach.
