About Bathurst Resources Limited: Our Company Overview

Maramarua Mine
Located in the Waikato region, our Maramarua Mine is an opencast mine that produces low-ash, low-sulphur thermal coal for the domestic market. We maintain a strong health and safety focus and are culturally diverse.
Job Description
As a new graduate or early-career geologist, you will work under the guidance of the Mine Planner to develop solutions and assist with mine planning and resource development. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Health and Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- General Geological Services: Provide geological support to the mine planning team, including data collation, validation, and interpretation.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date geological databases.
- Communication and Reporting: Effectively communicate with stakeholders, including management, colleagues, and contractors.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Geology or a comparable relevant qualification.
- An interest in field mapping, geological, structural, and rock mass interpretation, as well as core logging experience.
- The ability to learn geological modelling software and databases.
- A full and current NZ driver's license.
