Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Conservation Policy Specialist to join our team at the Department of Conservation (DOC). As a key member of the Statutory Planning team, you will be responsible for preparing statutory planning documents that provide direction for how public conservation lands and waters will be managed.

You will work with external statutory bodies, including conservation boards, the New Zealand Conservation Authority, and the Minister of Conservation, to ensure that our plans align with their goals and objectives.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your analytical and organisational skills, as well as your ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
