The Job Description

A Data Scientist I will apply their skills and work closely with cross-functional teams to create exceptional experiences for our customers. They will solve complex problems and assist the team with delivering high-quality solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Software Design and Development
    • Create detailed designs for simple software applications or components.
    • Develop, verify, test, document, amend, and refactor simple programs/scripts.
    • Apply agreed standards, tools, and basic security practices to achieve a well-engineered result.
  • Release Management and Quality Assurance
    • Assist with release management tasks.
    • Support the collection of data and information for release planning and scheduling.
    • Assist in the preparation of release materials and resources. Help document and maintain records of release activities.
    • Participate in basic testing and quality assurance tasks and issue resolution.
    Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, the following qualifications, experience, and skills are required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years working in relevant Data Science roles.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps practices.

Working Environment

This is an office-based role, and you are required to be in the Christchurch Seequent office three days a week.
