The Job
We are currently seeking a Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting adults with intellectual disabilities to pursue their interests and engage in community activities. This role involves managing risk and maintaining safety in your interactions with the individuals we support.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care and meal preparation
• Encourage and support individuals to participate in community activities and events
• Manage risk and maintain safety in all interactions with individuals we support
• Develop and maintain relationships with individuals, families, and other stakeholders

Requirements
• Previous experience working with people with intellectual disabilities is preferred but not essential
• A calm and patient demeanor, with the ability to work effectively in challenging situations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, and other stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of autonomy and initiative
