Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Graduate Accountant to support our business operations in the New Zealand North Island Hub Finance function. As a key member of the team, you will have opportunities to apply your skills and theory, including analysis, problem-solving, and process improvement. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Regional Accountant and branch managers with payroll review, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end accounting close & reporting, and general administration, in accordance with applicable legislation, company standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Regional Accountant and branch managers with financial tasks and administrative duties
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement processes to increase efficiency and maximise value add
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to drive operational forward

Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting, part-time work experience in the Accounting field, and a strong desire to pursue certification as a Chartered Accountant. You must be highly organised, resilient, tenacious, positive, and motivational, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a focus on developing a long-term career with Alsco.
