Park Ranger - Asset Management and Conservation
We're seeking a skilled Park Ranger to join our team in the Southern Sector, working on a fixed-term, full-time contract. As a Park Ranger, you'll play a key part in the management of operational and recreational facilities, interacting with user groups, and contributing to maintenance, conservation, and partnership projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in asset management, maintenance, and conservation, while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining walking and mountain biking tracks
- Building and fixing structures and operating powered machinery
- Planning and overseeing upgrade projects
- Collaborating with other park rangers and supporting them in conservation projects

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in ranger work. A background in asset management, maintenance, or a related field is highly desirable, as is competency in various machinery and equipment operation. Self-autonomous individuals who can plan and deliver various aspects of a project are highly sought after. An excellent level of physical fitness and overall health is critical, along with a current NZ full driver's licence and ability to drive manual transmission.
