Job Description:

The Product Marketing Manager role at Franklin International is a key position responsible for driving marketing initiatives across the corporate function, supporting both domestic and international business.

The successful candidate will possess in-depth expertise in understanding product life cycles, diverse product categories, market trends, and competitor landscapes. They will manage a product category, develop targeted campaigns, drive new product development, analyze market data, coordinate with cross-functional teams, become the product line expert, and ensure consistent brand positioning.

This role requires strong knowledge of industry trends and competitive analysis to drive innovative marketing initiatives. The Product Marketing Manager will serve as a liaison with cross-functional teams to drive and meet product line goals established in the annual operating plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop reports and presentations, customer promotions, new product launches, competitive information/database, product line maintenance, new and updated packaging, management of trade shows, merchandising development, website and social media assistance, and literature development.
  2. Provide direct in-field sales support and represent the Division at industry trade shows as needed.
  3. Manage a product category and drive strategic initiatives within the category.
  4. Perform continuous market research to identify areas of improvement within the category.
  5. Lead new product development with cross-functional teams and develop go-to-market strategies for product launches.
  6. Analyze product life cycle of SKU's within category and support each appropriately.
  7. Provide clear written information to internal associates on project-related issues.
  8. Analyze and evaluate competitor positioning and tactics to better drive market penetration.
  9. Understand individual market segments and competitors to develop specific marketing growth plans.
  10. Participate in store walks and in-store visits as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism or communications.
  • 3-5 years of applicable experience in marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good computer skills – Microsoft Office, PowerPoint are necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once, be detail-oriented, flexible, and possess creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent team player, energetic and quick to understand tasks at hand.
  • Strong sense of self-motivation and an ability to adapt to the job at hand.
