We are seeking an Advanced Support Worker to join our team, focusing on evaluating, training, and supporting our general support workforce. This role offers a blend of community and office-based work, providing opportunities to lead, train, and directly improve the quality of care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate support workers' care practices, such as handwashing and moving and handling.
  • Provide in-field guidance to improve skills and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Organize and lead workshops to enhance worker competencies.
  • Collaborate with care coordination and clinical teams.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our small group of 4 other Wellington and Hutt Valley Advanced Support Workers to ensure staff around the region maintain a high level of care.

What We Are Looking For:
  • A positive attitude and experience in behaviour management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (training provided).
  • Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • A full or restricted New Zealand driver's license.
  • A Level 4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate (or equivalent), with a plan to complete Level 4 if not already achieved.
  • A Career force Assessor Qualification (highly desirable).
