We're looking for a highly skilled Temporary Traffic Management Specialist to join our team at Auckland Transport. As a key member, you'll play a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient transportation services across the city and state highways.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing applications for events and filming in Auckland against relevant codes and standards.
  • Preparing reports for temporary road closures and parking restrictions.
  • Designing and implementing temporary public transport bus routes.
  • Providing technical expertise to stakeholders to ensure successful events.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to achieve best outcomes for events and minimal network disruption.
  • Improving temporary traffic management practices for events and filming.

This role may require work outside standard office hours to support major event delivery, audit traffic management plans, and participate in an Incident Management Team in emergency situations.

To succeed, you'll need:

  • Site Traffic Management Specialist Categories A, B, and C (or equivalent).
  • A valid New Zealand driver's license.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in TTM, preferably event-related.
  • Expert knowledge of COPTTM and NZGTTM.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Personal resilience.
  • Adequate understanding of local government operations.
