About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technologist to join our team at Nala Groups. As an Automotive Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Warrant of Fitness (WOF) checks and complete repairs as per New Zealand regulations.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using test equipment and software and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Replace or repair faulty parts and components.
  • Conduct vehicle inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Test driving after each service and maintain accurate records relating to clients, vehicles, parts and service history.
  • Maintain accurate records of services and repairs performed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and offering advice on vehicle care.

Requirements:

  • Able to speak English & Mandarin.
  • At least a Diploma certificate.
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Motor Mechanic is required, or a Level 4 qualification in automotive engineering or an equivalent overseas qualification.
  • Must have over 3 years of experience in repairing European cars.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices and adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Clear and professional communication with team members and customers to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Language Requirements:

English Certification: IELTS 4.0 or TOEFL or any English proficiency certification.
