Job Overview:

As a High Voltage Cable Jointer, you will be responsible for installing, testing and maintaining high voltage cables in the greater Canterbury region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and testing of high voltage cables
  • Live jointing and termination works for LV UG cables
  • Installation of distribution transformers, ring main units, magnefix switching units, distribution cabinets and boxes
  • Installation and termination of street lights
  • Earthing installations
  • Following best practice and adhering to strict HSE policy and procedure

To be successful in this role, you will require certain experience and qualifications.

  • Qualification (or in training) for New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Supply Cable Jointer High Voltage Level 4 (or comparable qualification)
  • NZ Electrical registration (EWRB) and current practicing license
  • Class 2 Drivers License
  • Written and numeracy skills
