Our client is a leading consulting firm that has established itself as a prominent player in the New Zealand market. With an expanding presence, they are seeking a seasoned Property Tax specialist to join their team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding and supporting junior tax professionals, ensuring exceptional service through quality tax advice. They must stay up-to-date with current property tax legislation and apply research findings to tax-related issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specific tax advice on property matters, ensuring clients are fully compliant and informed.
  • Analyze complex information and deliver clear, actionable tax opinions and strategies.
  • Cooperate with other teams within the firm to deliver comprehensive solutions for clients.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by acting as a confident advisor.
  • Deliver communication and advice in a timely and effective manner.
  • Help develop and refine best practices to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Prior tax compliance & advisory experience within a CA firm, preferably Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
  • 5 - 7 years' experience in Tax advisory roles.
  • Strong communication, client, and stakeholder management experience.
  • Past experience in coaching and managing a team of direct reports.
  • CA/CPA qualified, looking to remain long term in the professional service industry.
