Job Description

We are seeking a Communication and Events Officer to join our Sports Department on a part-time basis. This position will provide comprehensive support to our dynamic Sports Managers who are dedicated to achieving optimal results in all areas.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, utilizing strong administration skills and attention to detail. Proficiency with social media platforms is also required to engage with stakeholders. Additionally, the ability to connect with the wider community and sports organisations is essential.

About the Role

This fixed term contract, part-time (30 hours per week), full-year role commencing approximately May 2025 and finishing in mid-December 2025 will involve:

  • Managing office administration according to job requirements
  • Demonstrating adaptability and innovative thinking
  • Supporting fast-paced Sports Managers
  • Providing logistical and practical support to the Sports Department

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Being proficient in social media platforms
  • Having natural ability to connect with the wider DIO community and sports organisations
  • Being flexible and demonstrating creative problem-solving abilities
