The role of a Children’s Residential Support Worker is to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for young people in residential care. As part of our team, you will play a vital role in helping them develop essential life skills and overcome challenges.
Salary and Benefits
Our competitive salary package includes a base salary of £14,067 - £17,151 per annum, plus 1-2 sleep ins per month paid at £80 per sleep (approximately £1,760 per year), £700 Attendance Allowance, £1,000 Regional Allowance, £500 Welcome Bonus on successful completion of probation, and £500 Loyalty Bonus after 12 months of employment.
About the Role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring young people are ready for school, helping with homework, and supporting them with social, emotional, and mental health needs. You will also engage in leisure activities such as playing games or sports, complete necessary paperwork, and plan activities that promote their development and well-being.
Requirements
We are looking for individuals who possess a genuine care for young people and colleagues, a 'can do' attitude, and teamwork skills. A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months is also required. Furthermore, you will need to demonstrate resilience in handling challenging situations and a willingness to pursue a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
