About the Role

Spectrum Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team in North Auckland. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in providing ongoing support to four housemates with intellectual and/or physical disabilities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care and cooking healthy meals
  • Encourage participation in common activities and outdoor pursuits
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for all housemates
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to promote independence and well-being

Requirements

  • Patient and self-motivated individual with empathy for individuals with disabilities
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in challenging situations
  • Willingness to undertake manual handling training and participate in professional development opportunities
  • Full New Zealand driver's licence and ability to pass a NZ police check
