Job Description: The successful candidate will have expertise in gastrointestinal disease management, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. You will work closely with our surgical and medical teams to develop and implement effective care plans, and contribute to the growth and development of our gastrointestinal department.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must have or be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, in an Internal Medicine scope of practice. Ideally, you will possess FRACP or an equivalent qualification; however, we are open to hearing from advanced trainees nearing completion of their training.
Benefits: This is a full-time permanent position (1.0 FTE) with no on-call or general medicine duties. We offer a competitive relocation package to support you and your family to make the move to Northland. If you are currently overseas/not yet registered, we can assist you with the application process to obtain MCNZ registration.
Others: You will have opportunities to conduct gastroenterology outpatient clinics and procedures within our rural hospitals, and contribute to the development of new services to meet our population needs. We encourage self-development and are willing to offer a session weekly to pursue your sub-specialty interests.
