Job Description

The successful candidate will lead our team of Maintenance Technicians, providing on-the-job coaching, deploying our maintenance programmes, and attending breakdowns where required, to optimise the operation of the production area. You will represent the company not only through your technical skills but also by being an ambassador for who we are and what we do.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Maintenance Technicians to achieve manufacturing excellence through preventative maintenance.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and coaching operators to improve equipment performance.
  • Develop a culture of equipment ownership in the team with high action orientation and commitment to results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has the following skills and experience:

  • Min of 2 years in a people leadership role with strong focus on development of teams.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (strong preference in FMCG) including Engineering roles.
  • Experience of change management within the plant to improve organisation performance, in safety and quality as well.
  • Project management experience including leading a project.
  • Understanding of budgeting and financial processes.
  • Profound knowledge and experience of Operational Excellence methodologies like TPM, Lean, and 6 Sigma.
