We are seeking an experienced Payroll and HR Systems Manager to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant payroll operations while driving continuous improvement in HRIS processes.
About the RoleThe Payroll and HR Systems Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll and HRIS processes for the Southern District. This includes ensuring timely and accurate remuneration and benefits, as well as compliance with organizational, legislative, and employment contract requirements.
This role also involves leading and developing a team of payroll specialists who deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality payroll with a continuous improvement mindset.
We are looking for a skilled and strategic professional who can drive performance, foster collaboration, and balance operational demands with long-term improvements.
About You- You are an experienced Payroll & HRIS professional with a strong leadership background.
- You have a proven ability to drive performance, foster collaboration, and navigate complex challenges.
- You excel at balancing day-to-day operational demands with long-term strategic improvements.
- You bring a keen attention to detail, ensuring payroll processes run smoothly, accurately, and in full compliance with legislation.
- You possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective engagement across all levels of the business.
- A relevant graduate and post-graduate qualification.
- Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.
- Bachelor Degree in Business Related field e.g Accounting, HR or equivalent level of experience and knowledge (5-10 years of payroll management and processing experience).
