As a Design Engineer at McConnell Dowell, you will provide technical support to project-based and tender teams across multi-disciplined civil engineering projects.

Our ideal candidate will apply innovation, sound risk management and strong attention to detail throughout the entire project cycle from tender to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out temporary works designs in accordance with project requirements.
  • Ensure all design and engineering activities align with company policies, procedures and standards.
  • Analyse project requirements to ensure alignment with construction schedules.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate safety and environmental hazards.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in construction/civil/engineering; MIPENZ – seeking Chartership is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of engineering experience in the construction industry.
  • Strong oral and written presentation ability linked with sound relationship and integrity record.
