About The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a Driver Guide in Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for transporting guests between the hotel and activity sites, providing informative excursions, and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Driver Guide, you will:

  • Work with our activities team to create an exceptional product for all visitors to the area.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the flora, fauna, and natural history of Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park.
  • Conduct daily check-ins of guests departing on our tours, including screening for warm clothing, footwear, and health issues.
  • Ensure the safe transportation of guests between the hotel and activity site.
  • Maintain vehicles in a clean and tidy manner for guest enjoyment.
  • Conduct guided and structured off-road (4WD) tours through the surrounding valleys and points of interest.
  • Complete all required checks and procedures, including pre-departure and start-up checks.
  • Deliver a safe and professional service at all times.
  • Comply with Land Transport New Zealand rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Health & Safety procedures and emergency protocols.
