The Role
We are looking for a results-driven Account Manager to manage and grow an Auckland-based client portfolio. This is a full-time, permanent role where you will be at the forefront of trade sales, working closely with builders, contractors, and key industry players to drive revenue and strengthen business partnerships.
Main Responsibilities
- Grow sales revenue by identifying new business opportunities and expanding market share.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, providing expert advice and tailored solutions.
- Keep ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments.
- Manage key accounts, ensuring high service levels and customer satisfaction.
- Represent Mitre 10 MEGA at industry events, staying connected with the trade and construction sectors.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in account management and sales success (5+ years preferred).
- A strong background in the building, construction, trade, or industrial sales industries.
- Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
- Strong commercial acumen and a customer-first approach.
- Knowledge of building products, materials, and technical specifications is a plus.
