About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Outpatient Department in Ophthalmology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide direct care and influence the care of other clinicians, with a focus on high-quality clinical outcomes.
  • To work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team to achieve equitable health outcomes.
  • To develop and maintain knowledge and skills in ophthalmology nursing practice.
About You

You will be an excellent communicator with a positive, enthusiastic, innovative, and proactive approach. You will be team-focused and have an adaptable approach to your work. You will show sensitivity in different situations as you will be dealing with a wide range of people including members of the public and hospital staff.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience in the New Zealand healthcare setting.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple priorities.
  • Competence in using computers.
  • Able to quickly learn new web-based clinical applications as required for the role.
  • Possession of a passion for working in an outpatient setting.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Experience in working with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Sensitive approach to individualizing care.
  • Excellent cultural awareness and safety.
  • Resilience in a very busy environment.
