The role involves providing therapies, supervision and consultations for tangata whaiora with severe distress intolerance, relationship and emotional dysregulation. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with seven clinicians to develop and implement person-centred approaches.

About the Team: Our team is passionate about working with tangata whaiora who have significant difficulties with emotion regulation, self-identity and relational capacities. We promote open communication and care for each other, ensuring that we can provide effective therapies. As a Clinical Psychologist with Nga Tai Oranga, you will have opportunities for training, support and supervision.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will require experience in evidence-based therapies, including dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), and knowledge of clinically indicated risk taking. Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with complex presentations are also essential.
