**Job Summary:** We are seeking a skilled Cardiologist to cover a series of sabbaticals within the Cardiology Department. As a specialist in general cardiology, you will provide consultant services and cooperative leadership for the cardiac medical team.

The ideal candidate will have strong general cardiology experience and be able to work collaboratively with other medical, nursing, and technical staff. They will be accountable for key performance indicators and contribute to the development of protocols and guidelines.

  • Vocationally registered in internal medicine (Cardiology) with the Medical Council of New Zealand
  • FRACP or equivalent qualification and be able to register with the MCNZ
  • Able to work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Proven ability to provide consistently high standards of medical care

We operate three hospitals - Wellington Regional Hospital, Hutt Valley Hospital, and Kenepuru Hospital - as well as the Kāpiti Health Centre at Paraparaumu. Our district is located centrally in Wellington and has over 6,000 full-time equivalent staff.
