About the Role
Job DescriptionOur Child Development Service in Whakatāne is seeking a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join the team on a permanent part-time basis working 36 hours per week.
As a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with clients aged 0-2 years, who have disabilities or are at risk of developing them. Your responsibilities will include providing speech and language assessment and treatment services for the children you see.
You will be working as part of a small multi-disciplinary team of allied health professionals, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and social work.
Your role will involve working holistically with children in both community and home environments. You will also be seeing babies in our inpatient Special Care Baby Unit at the hospital for feeding assessment and intervention.
