Clinical Expert - Temporary Employment Opportunities

We are seeking clinical experts to join our team on a temporary basis. As a clinical expert, you will contribute to delivering high-quality patient care and be part of a dynamic team.

The locum registration process involves applying for locum casual employment contracts, which are separate from permanent employment contracts. This applies to current employees in ongoing employment as well as external candidates.

To be eligible for locum registration, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a current and full General Scope of Practice certificate with no restrictions from MCNZ (and have any PGY2 related endorsements removed from their Practising certificate)
  • Have proof of eligibility to work in New Zealand
  • Have a current ACLS Certificate (or if a current employee proof of future booking if expired)
  • Have proof of current Indemnity Insurance.

The employment process involves:

  • Completing an online application form and providing an up-to-date CV
  • References: If an applicant is in current permanent employment within the Auckland Region, we will only require one reference from their current run (as long as they have been in that run for 1 month or more, if not then the run they've just completed). If an applicant is an external candidate, we will require two satisfactory references.
  • All applicants who are not already employed in ongoing employment must attach the required documents.
  • Certified copy primary Medical Qualification or conferred Academic Transcript
  • Certified copy of Passport (and work visa/residency visa if applicable)
  • Certified copy of Driver Licence
  • Proof of Indemnity Insurance
  • ACLS certificate. This must be less than 2 years old at time of application or email course booking confirmation for current employees.
