The team works closely with asset owners like Auckland Transport, Watercare, Healthy Waters, and Parks to ensure safe, efficient, and well-planned growth across the region.


About the Role


We are recruiting for a Civil Land Engineering Director with senior-level expertise in civil land development and a thorough understanding of relevant legislation, including the Resource Management Act, Building Act, and Local Government Act.


The ideal candidate will have experience working with Auckland's Unitary Plan (AUP) and Auckland Design Manual, with the ability to clearly interpret and apply relevant standards across a variety of development scenarios.


Key Responsibilities



  • Assessing engineering designs and ensuring they meet regulatory requirements;
  • Maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, including asset owners and community groups;
  • Providing guidance and leadership to junior engineers on complex projects;
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in legislation and industry best practices.

Requirements



  • Tertiary qualification in civil engineering;
  • At least 10 years' experience in civil land development;
  • Deep knowledge of the Resource Management Act, Building Act, and Local Government Legislation;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a large team.
