The Discovery and Digital Coordinator will lead the development and coordination of our libraries' digital services, including the popular Tinker Zone makerspace, robotics club, code club, and digital gaming initiatives. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future direction of these services and champion digital innovation within the libraries, ultimately enhancing digital literacy among our community members.

As a mentor and coach, you will work closely with the libraries team to equip them with the knowledge and skills required to promote our digital offerings, educate the community, and provide engaging experiences through both structured programming and day-to-day activities. This will involve ensuring that digital technology remains at the forefront of service delivery.

This position requires strategic external partnerships to be formed, facilitating collaborations and connections with relevant vendors, local schools, and libraries across Aotearoa to enhance learning, wellbeing, literacy, and social inclusion within the district.

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience working in New Zealand public libraries or a related field, preferably holding a recognized library qualification, teaching or tertiary qualification, and highly developed time management and organizational skills.
