About the Position: Capital & Coast District Health Board is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our Intellectual Disability Secure Service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with clinicians and other professionals to provide person-centered care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.

About Our Service: Our service is designed to provide secure, inpatient care and rehabilitation services for male and female adults and adolescents with intellectual disabilities who have committed serious offenses. We use a strengths-based approach to care, focusing on the individual's strengths and abilities to achieve their goals.

Your Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to our clients, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. You will also contribute to the planning and delivery of group programs and activities, and participate in regular supervision and education sessions.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a National Certificate in Community Health Support Services (or equivalent qualification), have good written and oral English skills, and be able to work in stressful and changing situations. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and be able to pass a Police check.
