Accounting Collections Specialist

The Administration Billing Associate plays a pivotal role in identifying, researching, rectifying, and maintaining accurate balances.
This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of billing processes, providing exceptional customer service, and resolving issues promptly.
Responsibilities- Face-sheet and Census Entry: Ensure accurate billing by verifying primary and secondary insurance coverage on residents.
- Insurance Verification: Verify insurance coverage for residents to prevent delays in billing and reimbursement.
- Customer Service: Provide timely and effective resolution to facilities and residents regarding billing inquiries and concerns.
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct thorough account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Complex Account Reconciliation: Analyze and resolve complex billing issues with minimal supervision.
- Bad Debt Processing: Identify and process bad debt accounts according to established procedures.
- Third-Party Billing: Process claims for third-party payers, including Medicare, Managed Care, and private insurers.
- Pending Medicaid Accounts: Track and re-bill pending Medicaid accounts to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Error Identification and Rectification: Recognize and rectify errors within accounts to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Lawson Account Setup: Set up Lawson accounts for facility and private pay clients.
Educational Requirements:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Associates Degree or Higher in Accounting or related field.
Experience:
- Preferred: Experience in Accounts Receivable Department or Collections preferred, but not required.
Job Skill Requirements:
- Assertive Interpersonal Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively interact with facilities, residents, and colleagues.
- Computer Technology: Proficiency in computer technology to efficiently process billing tasks.
