We are looking for a skilled Wellington Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy construction equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant automotive trade qualification and at least 3 years of hands-on experience. A WTR endorsement and HT licence would be advantageous. They must possess strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy machinery.

Job Description:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy construction equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on diesel engines and related components.
  • Inspect and test machinery to identify potential problems and ensure proper functionality.
  • Utilise diagnostic tools and software to determine equipment issues.
  • Conduct repairs on hydraulic systems, transmissions, and fuel injection systems.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure timely equipment availability.
  • Provide recommendations for repairs and preventive maintenance schedules.

Requirements:

  • A relevant automotive trade qualification.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience.
  • A WTR endorsement and HT licence would be advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy machinery.
