University Outreach Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our Schools and Community Engagement Team as a University Outreach Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with targeted schools, educators, and community groups to promote the University's offerings and support prospective students and their families.

You will work closely with the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor Maori to coordinate outreach activities and provide guidance and support to school leavers and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the school leavers' experience as they engage with the University.
  • To achieve recruitment targets for prospective school leaver students by delivering presentations on behalf of the University and participating in on and off-campus outreach events.
  • To establish and develop strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including careers advisors, other key secondary school staff, and relevant staff across the University and faculties.
  • To develop effective relationships with school leavers and their families on behalf of the University, playing a guidance and support role.

About You

  • A degree and/or postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience, knowledge, and training.
  • Experience developing, maintaining relationships with, and understanding the needs of key stakeholders.
  • Agile experience, or an understanding of cross-function team ways of working in an agile environment.
  • Demonstrable understanding, competence, and confidence in Te ao Maori.
