Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the work of the Student Conduct Office, ensuring timely and effective resolution of student conduct and discipline matters. The successful candidate will lead investigations relating to student conduct and discipline, advising academic and professional staff on student general misconduct and conflict resolution processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and manage student general misconduct complaints in alignment with university policies and procedures.
  • Undertake investigations, prepare reports and recommendations, and ensure appropriate communication throughout conduct cases.
  • Provide education and support to staff and student groups regarding behavioural complaints.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote effective service delivery and utilise best practice knowledge and expertise.
  • Develop and manage consistent processes for the management of general misconduct complaints and incident investigations.
  • Ensure rigorous and accurate data collection on notifications, complaints, and incidents.
  • Contribute to policy and procedures, making recommendations for improvements based on experience.

About You

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about creating a safe and equitable environment for students, with significant experience in managing student conduct and discipline matters, including sensitive and complex cases.

The ideal candidate will bring strong skills in managing and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders, applying policy and legal principles, and working in a multi-stakeholder and multi-cultural environment.
