The Director of Civil Aviation & Chief Executive leads the strategic and operational delivery of the CAA, exercising authority under the Civil Aviation Act 1990. They are responsible for maintaining high standards of performance, ensuring the safe and secure operation of New Zealand's skies and its people.

This role requires a seasoned executive with extensive experience leading at scale, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and exposure to complex systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of modern regulatory approaches and the ability to cultivate high-performance cultures.
