Project Manager Role
Auckland Council is seeking a skilled project manager to lead projects on its closed landfills. The successful candidate will have experience in managing complex design and construction projects with CCCS/NZ391X contracts, a strong background in health and safety management within projects, and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Manage relationships with contractors/suppliers, stakeholders, and mana whenua partners
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Auckland Council policies
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's qualification in civil/environmental engineering, science or a related field
- Extensive experience in design and construction projects managed with CCCS/NZ391X contracts
- Strong background in health and safety management within projects
- Experience in managing external suppliers, e.g. consultants and contractors
- Strong relationship building skills and political savvy
