Critical Care Physician

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team at Waikato Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Emergency Medicine, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
About the Role:
- We are looking for a qualified Emergency Physician with strong relationship management skills and the ability to build rapport inside and outside the department.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in providing Emergency Medicine services to approximately 90,000 people per year, or 220-250 patients per day.
- As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to participate in formal teaching programs and contribute to the development of junior staff.
- You will also be responsible for overseeing a team of 35 junior staff, including on-the-job education and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality Emergency Medicine services to patients
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes
- Contribute to the development of junior staff through mentoring and coaching
