Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Support Manager to lead our IT support function. The successful candidate will manage a team of IT professionals and support staff, providing guidance on setting goals and priorities. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills to effectively address multi-faceted issues across departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing IT Support Service Plans: Define best practices and Service Level Agreements for the support function, establish performance and reporting measures, and ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
- Managing IT Support Activities: Identify actions to maintain or improve levels of service, advise the business on IT support metrics and capabilities, and provide data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
- Overseeing System Maintenance: Prioritize activities to ensure continuity of service and prompt issue resolution, compile data for reporting purposes, review trends and patterns, and plan installation of hardware equipment and software.
- Providing Incident Resolution Guidance: Analyze enquiries, recommend solutions, identify areas for improvement, and develop problem-solving guidelines and checklists for staff.
- Managing Teams: Oversee team management including budgets, forecasting, work allocations, staffing, and drive effective performance management practices within the department.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in End User Computing technologies, including Desktop Endpoint Management, Win10/11 Security Patch Management, Asset Management, GPO policy management, Active Directory Administration, and M365 administration.
- Strong vendor management experience or experience managing subcontractors.
- Ability to work on-call with varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
