**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at WOFO. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to patients in a hospital setting.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide patient handling assistance as required, including the correct use of lifting equipment and assisting with walking frames and other equipment.
- Maintain patient hygiene, comfort, and care, including assistance with patient sponging/showering/bathing, bed making, and preparing the room for admission.
- Complete delegated tasks promptly without constant supervision.
- Ensure Health and Safety compliance, including the safe use of equipment, reporting incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly, and following required policies and procedures, including infection control.
- Restock materials and complete cleaning duties as required.
**Requirements**
- Level 4 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent).
- Exceptional people skills with empathy and compassion for all patients.
- A reasonable level of fitness due to the nature of the role, able to perform required duties, including lifting.
- Excellent level of spoken and written English and numeracy.
- Reliable and honest with a positive attitude.
- Willing to undertake police clearance (submitted on your behalf) and undergo a health screening.
