**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our multidisciplinary team in a full-time capacity. As a Women's Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality primary and secondary healthcare services to women and families in our community.

The ideal candidate will have a range of generalist skills, with a special interest in obstetrics and obstetric ultrasound. If you have an interest in research, there are great possibilities at MidCentral.

Our obstetric service provides a range of care, including obstetric ultrasound and a multidisciplinary antenatal diabetic clinic. We have around 2000 births per year, and our neonatal unit accepts babies from 28 weeks gestation.

Gynaecology services, including colposcopy, urogynaecology, fertility, and hysteroscopy clinics, are provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis for women throughout the MidCentral District.

Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua – MidCentral is a 350-bed hospital serving a local population of 180,000. However, we are also the base for a regional head and neck oncology service, which has responsibility for a population of 550,000.
