The Consents and Policy Manager plays a critical role in ensuring that our regional plans are implemented effectively. You'll be responsible for managing the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to resource consent, as well as providing guidance and advice to staff and external stakeholders.

You'll work closely with our communities to ensure that our policies and procedures meet their needs, and that they are effective in achieving positive environmental outcomes. This requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.

This role requires a high level of expertise in planning and resource management, as well as a deep understanding of Māori rights and interests. You'll also need to be able to lead and motivate a team, and develop the skills and confidence of individual team members.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the development and implementation of policies and procedures
  • Provide guidance and advice to staff and external stakeholders
  • Work with stakeholders to achieve positive environmental outcomes
