Job Summary

The Employer Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in building and strengthening relationships between the University and key stakeholders across business, public, and non-profit sectors. This position is responsible for coordinating events that connect stakeholders with students and staff and enhancing the University's reputation.

About the Role

This role is focused on expanding graduate recruitment, internships, and work-integrated learning opportunities to support the UC Graduate profile. The Coordinator will effectively promote the University's graduate profile while fostering meaningful, long-lasting partnerships with key external stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a recognised careers centre/service and/or recruitment environment, with experience and understanding of the public and private sector business environment and have the following:

  • A naturally outgoing personality, capable of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including business leaders, public sector representatives, and non-profit organisations.
  • An understanding of Equal Employment Opportunities and Treaty of Waitangi Principles.
  • A commitment to customer service and a high level of professionalism.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Problem solving skills, and works well under pressure.
  • A positive and flexible attitude.
  • Ability to work independently with autonomy.
  • Experience in organising events that bring together stakeholders, ensuring they run smoothly and achieve the desired outcomes.
  • An active commitment to upholding the values, tikanga, kawa and traditions as guided by mana whenua and valuing te reo Maori.
